Description

The PP will take you on unmissable picturesque excursions with breathtaking panoramic views. Starting from the seaside resort of Saint Jean de Luz, located near the Spanish border, visit the region by exploring the Basque coastline and inland areas during your walks through typical villages, where you will discover the Basque coast and the Pyrenees mountain range. Come and discover the region: Bayonne with its red, green and blue half-timbered houses, its gastronomy, its local produce and its chocolate museum, all the way to Saint Jean Pied de Port located in the hinterland, which shines and remains the stronghold of the territory. The capital of Lower Navarre is a port, now a marina, a bastion of history, open to pastoralism, the mountains and a welcoming land par excellence, on the road to Santiago de Compostela. In the Aquitaine region, southwestern France is also home to Biarritz, located on the coast, with its seaside and beautiful surfing beaches, perfect for a getaway along the coastal path. The small village of Espelette is world-famous for its PDO chili pepper, which farmers have been cultivating since the 16th century through a process of seed selection, creating a unique variety of this American chili pepper called 'gorria' (red in Basque), a pepper used as a spice or flavor enhancer, to preserve food or as a delicious substitute for pepper in traditional Basque cuisine and in today's finest restaurants. Ainhoa and Sare, 'departure point for the little train to La Rhune,' are classified as two of the most beautiful villages in France. On the Spanish side, you will pass by the corniche, Fontarabie, the city of San Sebastian known for its tapas and its aperitif 'sangria,' and you will wander with the PP.
