Private Tours in Biarritz

If you want to see Biarritz beyond the crowded beaches, private tours are where it’s at. You’ll get a chance to explore corners most visitors miss, like the rugged cliffs at la Côte des Basques or the quiet charm of the Port Vieux neighborhood. And since it’s private, you set the pace , no rushing through spots just for the guide’s schedule.

One of my favorite things? Taking a private food tour through the market in Les Halles. The vendors know the regulars by name, and you’ll taste everything from Bayonne ham to local cheeses while hearing all the insider stories about the region’s flavors. Another good tip , try booking your tour early in the morning, especially in summer when the heat rolls in by midday.

Private guides in Biarritz often have their own quirky passions, whether it’s surfing history, Basque culture, or even architecture. So don’t hesitate to ask about customizing your itinerary. That way, you’ll get a genuine glimpse of the place, not just the same old tourist stops.
